Our miracle!
Cameras: Nikon D70 & D80
History of Photography:
I am a self-taught photographer… it started as a hobby with several 35mm SLR cameras in higschool, and used it extensively during a year internship in Texas, and a month-long trip to Papua New Guinea.
I hesitatingly switched to digital in 2006… and I’ll never go back! I love the cameras I am now using and it has helped me grow in my passion and knowledge over the years. In every photography job and opportunity I’ve had, I find myself renewed of excitement for the unique beauty each subject brings out… another reminder of how creative our Creator is!
I consider myself a semi-professional hobbyist. I am not a full-fledged professional photographer, and I can recommend you to a handful of amazing photographers who spend every day doing just that, if that is what you are looking for. I do love what I do, when I can take the time to do it. And I hope more than anything my passion for people and life around us is reflected in my work.
Favorite Photo Op:
My mission trip to the jungles of Papua New Guinea. Everything was so vibrant and raw, and the people were genuine and loving. It was easy to photograph such an in-your-face atmosphere.
Hobbies and Interests Outside of the Camera:
Writing, cooking, reading, facebook, traveling, exploring, sewing and art, trying new things, spending time with my family and friends, and enjoying the gift God gives us with each day.
Most Valuable Business Practices:
- Constant and open communication on both sides.
- Being reliable and flexible from beginning to end.
- Carrying myself as professional but approachable.
- Letting my passion for photography steer me instead of just seeing it as a job or an income.
